What Betty is #
Where: bettygenius.co.za
Betty is an AI office assistant for busy professionals. You ask in plain language and Betty drafts e-mails, letters, reports and proposals, summarises documents you attach, plans your week and works through problems with you.
Betty also has her own documents (download as Word or PDF), notes, a calendar and tasks that can sync with Google or Outlook, image creation and data analysis of spreadsheets. Betty uses several AI models, each chosen for the task.
- Betty works in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer. There is nothing to install.
- Your data is hosted in South Africa and billed in rand.
- Betty can make mistakes. Check important facts and figures, and ask a professional for legal, tax, financial or medical advice.
Getting started

Where: Home → Sign Up / Log In
- Go to bettygenius.co.za and press Sign Up.
- Either press Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft, or fill in your name, e-mail address, country and a password (at least 8 characters) and accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. A short security check (Cloudflare) runs above the button; it usually completes by itself.
- If you signed up with e-mail and password, open the e-mail from Betty and press Confirm my email. The link works for 48 hours. No e-mail? Check your spam folder, or press Send the email again.
- Every new account starts with a free 7-day trial of the Advanced plan. No card is needed.
- Next time, press Log In and use the same method (Google, Microsoft, or e-mail and password).

Chat
Chatting with Betty #
Where: Menu → Chat
- Open Chat. Type your request in the box at the bottom and press Send.
- Be specific: who it is for, the tone, and any names, dates or amounts. For example: "Write a polite follow-up to ABC Builders on our quote of R45 000 sent on 1 October; offer a call this week."
- For an e-mail Betty gives a subject line and the text, ready to copy. Ask for changes in plain words: "shorter", "more formal", "add a payment deadline".
- Press Save as document under a reply to turn it into a document you can edit and download as Word or PDF (paid plans).
Each reply uses 1 Betty Unit; the chat page shows how many you have used this month. Betty cannot send e-mails, browse the internet or open links: she gives you the text to use.

- 1 Betty Unit: each answer Betty writes in the chat, each document she drafts, each image she creates, each data analysis.
- No Betty Units: notes, the calendar, tasks, editing and downloading your documents, and your settings.
The chat page and Plans & Billing show how many you have used this month. When they run out, upgrade your plan or wait for the 1st of the month.
